The New York Green Bank announced this week that it will help finance three projects aimed at expanding solar and wind power throughout the state. $49 million will be invested in the projects that will help homeowners cut their power usage or switch to more efficient sources.
Here’s the breakdown of where the $49 million will go:
- $25 million will go to Level Solar to provide solar installations for up to 6,000 New Yorkers
- $20 million for Renew Financial to expand low-cost lending so 12,000 homeowners can invest in energy improvements
- $4 million for United Wind’s installation of more than 160 wind projects for residents and businesses
The New York Green Bank is a state-sponsored financial entity that partners with the private sector to increase investments in clean energy markets so New York can continue to work towards a more efficient and sustainable energy grid.
NYLCV looks forward to seeing more renewable energy options made available to New Yorkers across the state.
