Governor Hochul, Sign the Birds and Bees Protection Act
Few things are as important as protecting our food crops. That’s why we are urging Gov. Kathy Hochul to sign the Birds and Bees Protection Act, which was passed by the New York State Legislature earlier this year. The bill (A. 7640/S. 1856-A) would prohibit the sale of certain pesticides that kill pollinators, primarily honey bees. The loss of bees and other pollinators means fewer crops are pollinated, resulting in crop loss across the state.

NYLCV PAC and Laborers Launch Aggressive Six-Figure Campaign Targeting Legislators for Killing the Clean Water Plan
The New York League of Conservation Voters PAC (NYLCV PAC) and the New York State Laborers (NYS LIUNA) are joining forces to launch a powerful six-figure independent expenditure to educate voters on the significance of The Clean Water Plan and the reasons behind its obstruction. The planned six-figure expenditure includes a robust mail and digital campaign in opposition to Dominick Thorne, R-District 7; Manuel Esteban, R-District 16; and Stephanie Bontempi, R-District 18. The campaign aims to inform voters on the significance of The Clean Water Plan and encourage them to hold their legislators accountable for killing it. "What the Majority did was unconscionable, breaking a longtime streak of bipartisan support for clean water programs. Furthermore, they have subverted the democratic process. We aim to make sure that voters know why these dirty water politicians should be ousted from office.” said Joshua Klainberg, Senior Vice President, NYLCV PAC.
