Mayor Bill de Blasio continued his push for a cleaner New York this week with his announcement of the NYC Clean Fleet. Composed of 2,000 electric-powered vehicles, the fleet will move the city closer to the goals laid out in de Blasio’s ambitious OneNYC Plan.

It’s not just the New York City subway system that will get a boost from the MTA Capital Plan. The new $29 billion budget for repairs and enhancements, approved Wednesday, will also bring about some much-needed changes in Staten Island, and the Metro-North train line.

Mayor Bill de Blasio and Governor Andrew Cuomo have reached an agreement in the long-fought battle over the Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s Capital Plan. The move comes at a time when the New York City subway system faces enormous debts and crumbling infrastructure.
