Green Bank To Finance Three Energy Projects

The New York Green Bank announced this week that it will help finance three projects aimed at expanding solar and wind power throughout the state. $49 million will be invested in the projects that will help homeowners cut their power usage or switch to more efficient sources.

Here’s the breakdown of where the $49 million will go:

  • $25 million will go to Level Solar to provide solar installations for up to 6,000 New Yorkers
  • $20 million for Renew Financial to expand low-cost lending so 12,000 homeowners can invest in energy improvements
  • $4 million for United Wind’s installation of more than 160 wind projects for residents and businesses
The New York Green Bank is a state-sponsored financial entity that partners with the private sector to increase investments in clean energy markets so New York can continue to work towards a more efficient and sustainable energy grid.
NYLCV looks forward to seeing more renewable energy options made available to New Yorkers across the state.
