This week, NYLCV joined Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone to discuss one of the best proposed solutions to help mitigate Long Island’s growing nitrogen pollution problem.

Under a bill by Queens Councilman Costa Constantinides, the Department of Transportation would launch a four-year pilot program to install up to seven charging stations per borough.

Senator Charles Schumer announced a new bill this week that would provide tax credits for homeowners and landlords who replace lead-based infrastructure in their buildings. The proposed legislation would expand existing tax credits, and be available to any homeowner making $110,000 or less annually.
