Tommy John Schiavoni

Tommy John Schiavoni is running for election to the State Assembly in New York’s 1st district. Schiavoni is strongly committed to protecting the environment. As a Southampton Town Board Councilmember, he has worked to protect open space, promote sustainability, and restore water quality. He has been integral to many of Southampton’s state-leading environmental efforts, including in the town’s adoption of Community Choice Aggregation, in crafting a Climate Action Plan, and now in creating a community solar project on the town’s capped landfill. Prior to his election to the Town Board, Schiavoni was a Government and History teacher and a firefighter. If elected to represent New York’s largest coastal community in the State Assembly, Councilmember Schiavoni would be a strong advocate for the environment.
