Samra Brouk

Samra Brouk is running for re-election to the State Senate in District 55. Brouk is committed to fighting climate change and its disproportionate impacts on vulnerable communities. Throughout her time in office, Brouk has been a leading advocate against climate change. She is a strong proponent of ensuring adequate funding for the environment within state budgets; Brouk has secured funding for local organizations like Reconnect Rochester, which incentivize green transportation options. She also supports legislation to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfills, policies and investments to reduce lead pipes, and efforts to prohibit toxic chemicals from cosmetic products. If re-elected, she will continue to fight for the maintenance of natural resources, clean energy projects, zero-emission transit, and environmental justice.
