Michael Benedetto

Michael Benedetto is running for re-election to the State Assembly in New York’s 82nd District. Benedetto is a strong advocate for the environment. During his time as an Assemblymember, he has fought for electric school buses, supported funding for mass transit, and secured funding to protect the Long Island Sound, and a project to create a watershed plan for his district. He has also introduced legislation to control potential pollution at Rodman’s Neck Shooting Range in his area. Benedetto supports the decarbonization of buildings, advocates for adequate funding for the environment, and has championed clean transportation initiatives in his district. If re-elected, he will continue to ensure resilience in his coastal community, improve water quality, and support climate change education.
