Matt Slater is running for Yorktown Town Supervisor.

The NYLCV is proud to endorse Matt Slater for Yorktown Supervisor. As a Charter Member of Yorktown’s Energy Advisory Committee, Slater has been involved in several open space projects including helping to secure $500,000 for the Croton Grassland Meadow restoration, and helping to award a $1.84 million grant for a conservation easement to preserve the oldest working farm in Westchester. He has also been involved in many key water quality projects including, helping pass legislation that expanded the inland waterway program which will help local waterfront revitalization, hosting a press conference for Ban the Barges Initiative which lead to the formation of the Hudson River Waterfront alliance. Slater has helped secure funding for a microgrid project across 6 towns, and will continue to work towards making Yorktown a more efficient place. If elected, Slater will help implement an integrated pesticide management program, increase electric vehicles in the town fleet, encourage civic engagement with Open Data platforms and help Yorktown become a certified Climate Smart Community
