Jon Rivera

Jon Rivera is running for re-election to the New York State Assembly in District 149. The environment is one of Rivera’s top legislative priorities as exemplified by his strong support of transitioning to clean energy, including geothermal energy systems incentives which help reduce emissions from buildings. In addition, Rivera supports making a transition to clean public transportation more feasible and prioritizes waste reduction efforts, specifically related to carpet recycling. He has experienced, first-hand, the benefits of investing in the protection and restoration of New York’s waterways with Lake Erie at the district’s door step. If re-elected, Rivera will continue to advocate for the implementation of clean energy, waste management infrastructure, and natural resource and waterway protection.
