April Baskin

April Baskin is running for election for State Senate in New York’s 63rd District. Baskin has proven herself a champion for the environment. As Majority Leader of the Erie County Legislature, she oversaw the passing of the Climate Action and Sustainability Plan which led to a 30% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions of the county’s internal operations, among other pro-environmental benefits. Additionally, Baskin supported the establishment of a Climate Action Fund to reinvest county savings into conservation and sustainability efforts. If elected, Baskin will prioritize environmental issues such as transitioning to renewable energy sources, promoting recycling efforts, and advancing green infrastructure.
