Peter Olmsted

Over the past two decades, Peter has dedicated his career to addressing some of the most pressing energy and environmental issues of our time. Currently, Peter serves as Director of Regulatory Affairs for FreeWire Technologies, which is developing innovative solutions for electric vehicle charging and the electric grid. From 2015-2021, Peter played a leadership role in New York State government in helping to develop and implement the State’s ambitious clean energy and climate agenda. Most recently he served as Chief of Staff for the New York Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). Prior to his NYS tenure, Peter held several roles in the non-profit and public sectors, which ranged from advancing solar energy markets along the eastern seaboard to preserving farmland in Lancaster County, PA.
