Laura Gillen

Laura Gillen is running for election for Congress in New York’s 4th District. Gillen has been a staunch supporter of pro-environmental policies, especially for those disproportionately impacted by climate change. She has experience tackling environmental issues head on as Town Supervisor of Hempstead where she oversaw recovery efforts within the town after the devastating Hurricane Sandy; she continues to advocate for environmental resilience and the protection of New York’s coastlines. Additionally, through her efforts to protect local beaches and shorelines from toxins, provide safe drinking water to residents, and reduce pollution and other carcinogens, Gillen has proven herself a champion of the environment. If elected, Gillen will fight for environmental justice and work toward building a climate-driven nation.
