Shirley Aldebol

Shirley Aldebol is running for NYC Council District 13. As Executive Vice President at 32BJ SEIU, she worked on multiple initiatives championing a pro-environment agenda in New York. Last year, she partnered with Climate Jobs NY and a climate coalition to pass an initiative aimed at creating carbon-free and healthy schools. This solar panel legislation was a crucial step toward reducing the city’s carbon footprint and ensuring healthier environments for New Yorkers. The law also led to the creation of new, clean energy union jobs. On the City Council, Shirley will continue to support and advance similar legislation that combats climate change, promotes sustainability, and creates more good-paying jobs for workers across the city.
