Sarahana Shrestha

Sarahana Shrestha is running for re-election to the State Assembly in New York’s 103rd district. Shrestha is a strong environmental champion. She believes “green” should be incorporated into all jobs and be a core part of education. Shrestha is a strong supporter of improved public investment in public transit to help move towards clean transportation. She is a proponent of building decarbonization, renewable energy, and energy justice for everyone. She is committed to providing support for her district’s waste management initiatives, in an effort to move away from incineration and toward more sustainable management practices. She advocates for clean water and natural resource protection as well as protections for family farms. If re-elected, Shrestha is eager to continue supporting efforts to decarbonize buildings,clean and affordable energy, and electric vehicle infrastructure.
