Demond Meeks

Demond Meeks is running for re-election to the New York State Assembly in District 137. Since his election in 2020, Demond Meeks has been a strong proponent of environmental policy, earning a 100% rating on our scorecard in 2023.  During his time in the Assembly, Meeks led efforts to roll out an all-electric bus fleet in Rochester and cosponsored the NY HEAT Act to improve the sustainability of housing.  Meeks supports reducing landfill waste by 90% by 2040, safe street measures, and expanding the light-rail. If re-elected, Demond Meeks will continue to support initiatives to fund public transportation, implementing the Community Risk and Resiliency Act, and ensuring lead-free drinking water.
