Tony Simone
Tony Simone is running for re-election to the State Assembly in New York’s 75th District. Simone is an established advocate for the environment. Before he was an Assemblymember, he served as Director of External Affairs for Friends of Hudson River Park, preserving an important natural resource. He also organized volunteer relief efforts after Hurricane Sandy. As an Assemblymember, Simone has continued these efforts. He has been a vocal supporter of congestion pricing, as he has witnessed the effects of congestion on air quality and health in his district. He has also been a proponent of offshore wind. He is a supporter of a statewide goal of reducing waste sent to landfills. If re-elected, Simone will continue to prioritize the elimination of toxic chemicals from consumer products, increasing funding for conservation efforts, and increasing resilience efforts.
