Jenifer Rajkumar

Jennifer Rajkumar is running for re-election to the State Assembly in New York’s 38th district. Rajkumar is a champion for the environment, earning a 100% rating on her NYLCVscorecard in 2023. During her time in the Assembly, Rajkumar has helped to pass the Birds and Bees Protection Act, legislation requiring 30% of New York’s land to be conserved, phasing in a requirement that motor vehicles sold be zero-emissions, and legislation banning mercury in cosmetics. She has also co-sponsored legislation to support our transition to offshore wind energy, electrify our transit fleet and the Clean Fuel Standard. If re-elected, Jennifer Rajkumar will continue to advocate for environmental initiatives including extended producer responsibility and funding for the MTA.
