Cordell Cleare

Cordell Cleare is running for re-election to the State Senate in District 30. Cleare has prioritized climate and racial justice and is dedicated to fighting for our environment, health, and planet. She got her start in public service organizing against lead paint in homes, and continues the fight against dangerous chemicals. Cleare supports the implementation and equitable enforcement of congestion pricing to reduce congestion and pollution. She believes New York should be a national leader in developing renewable energy, and views the development of clean energy infrastructure as an urgent and essential matter. Cleare fully supports rapid electrification of public transportation fleets, Zero Emissions Vehicle incentives, and cleaner fuel and emissions standards, as well as strong goals for reduced and zero-emissions for industries including trucking and shipping. She also supports building infrastructure improvements and wants New York to lead the world in developing sustainable new building technologies. Cleare is committed to getting the state to 100% renewable energy by 2040, and wants to ensure that costs and impacts are not borne by those least able to pay them. If re-elected to the State Senate, Cordell Cleare will continue her commitment to restoring and protecting the environment and fighting against climate change.
