Linda Lee
Linda Lee is running for re-election to represent District 23 in the New York City Council. As Council Member, Linda Lee is committed to working to ensure that our city meets its sustainability and climate initiatives. She has advocated for key initiatives regarding air quality, codifying cooling centers, improving paved medians, and passing a tax abatement renewal so that buildings across our city can more easily comply with our green goals. Councilmember Lee understands the climate crisis has negatively impacted our environment, particularly in her own district, as she has seen a large increase in flooding and the number of areas in her district that are becoming flood zones. She believes that while our rain patterns have changed, our infrastructure has not, and funding is needed to facilitate these improvements. As a member of the Parks Committee, Councilmember Lee believes the green spaces in her district are a huge resource and a treasure for physical health and mental well-being. If re-elected she will continue to fight for green spaces, additional funding to support park maintenance, and rethink how park equity looks across our city.
