Sandra Ung

Sandra Ung is running for re-election to represent District 20 in the New York City Council. Councilmember Ung has worked throughout her first three years to protect our environment. Through her office’s capital funding and advocacy with the Speaker and Mayor, a large portion of the Eastern Queens Greenway in her district is now fully funded, including $25 million from the Council. Councilmember Ung works closely with advocates for NYC Parks, including local volunteer groups to protect our green spaces. She has signed onto many bills that will help protect the environment, help prepare our city for the effects of climate change, including ones that would update the city’s flood maps, expand access to composting in NYC, and install more solar panels on city-owned buildings. If re-elected, Councilmember Ung is committed to making our transit system more accessible, especially by expanding Fair Fares.”
