Kevin Riley

Kevin Riley is running for re-election to represent District 12 in the New York City Council. Earning a perfect score from NYLCV in 2023 and 2024, Councilmember Riley is committed to a pro-environment agenda. One of his top priorities is ensuring that buildings—especially affordable housing and NYCHA properties—are energy efficient, healthier, and more sustainable. Councilmember Riley is focused on expanding the Fair Fares program, electrifying New York City’s bus fleet, improving pedestrian and cyclist safety, including stronger enforcement of Vision Zero initiatives, and improving public transit access. In office, he will continue to advocate for the expansion of waste containerization programs, increasing funding for sanitation services in the Bronx, and supporting NYCHA recycling and waste diversion programs. Furthermore, if re-elected he will fight to allocate at least 1% of the city’s budget to parks, expand tree canopy coverage in his district, and invest in waterfront and open space development.
