Our NYC cocktail party is one of NYLCV’s premier events. Each year, over two hundred elected officials and administrators from all levels of government, key players in the environmental community, business leaders and supporters attend. Enjoy an evening of drinks, light refreshments, and great conversation overlooking the East River.

Our 2024 Honoree: NineDot Energy

We are thrilled to have NineDot Energy as our 2024 Honoree. NineDot is the leading community-scale clean energy developer with a focus on battery energy storage systems (BESS) in the New York City metropolitan area. NineDot’s projects provide power to thousands of homes during summer heat waves — as they did at their first operating battery sites in the Bronx this summer — helping to make the local power grid more resilient while reducing reliance on dirty peaker plants. NineDot’s projects are an essential part of New York State’s plan to deploy 6,000 megawatts of energy storage by 2030, while allowing for the storage of intermittent renewable energy. Based in NYU’s Urban Future Lab, NineDot has grown to 60 employees, all working towards advancing their goal to have 400 megawatts of battery storage capacity in development or operation by the end of 2026, including several more projects expected to come online this year.
