The Environmental Bond Act
In November 2022, New Yorkers may have the chance to vote for the Environmental Bond Act, also known as the Restore Mother Nature Bond Act. It would allocate $3 billion to a variety of environmental protection programs and projects in four categories: restoration and flood risk reduction; open space land conservation; climate change mitigation; and water quality improvement and resilient infrastructure. The Bond Act will provide crucial support for New York’s economy and environment, especially as the State recovers from COVID-19.
