The New York League of Conservation Voters Gives Green is proud to announce its endorsement of State Senator Tim Kennedy in the special election for New York’s 26th congressional district.
“New York needs to send a committed and consistent voice for the environment to Congress, one who not only promises action, but has a proven track record of legislative accomplishments,” said NYLCV President Julie Tighe. “That’s why we are thrilled to endorse Senator Tim Kennedy for New York’s 26th congressional district. We are confident he’ll do in Washington exactly what he did in Albany: fight for – and deliver – clean energy, green jobs, and a healthier future.”
Whether funding electric school buses, improving drinking water, expanding EV charging networks, or promoting safe, accessible streets, Senator Kennedy has been a perennial environmental champion at the State Capitol. If elected to congress, we look forward to him being a strong voice for ecological protection – including cleaning up the Great Lakes – and for legislation to advance renewable energy and take other steps to achieve the clean energy economy we need to stave off the worst outcomes from climate change.
Early voting for the special election will run from April 20 – April 28, and Election Day is on April 30.
