Lisa is the Program Coordinator for NYLCV and NYLCVEF, responsible for assisting in the planning and implementation of various environmental education programs. She joined the League after working with the Wildlife Conservation Society as a Conservation Educator at the Queens Zoo. Lisa graduated Summa Cum Laude from CUNY Queens College with a B.A. in Environmental Studies. During her college career, Lisa was awarded the Ginsburg-Ingerman Overseas Fellowship and attended Ben Gurion University in Israel, where she studied Sustainability and Desert Ecology.
Born in the Hudson Valley, she moved to NYC during childhood, where she has lived since. Lisa’s experiences in both rural and urban areas of New York has shaped her appreciation for the natural world as well as her interest in tackling various region-based environmental issues. She has a passion for community outreach and education to create transparency in environmental issues so that constituents feel empowered to be advocates. She is a NYC Master Composter and volunteers regularly at the Queens Botanical Garden.
