
Julia Damiano
As the Offshore Wind Campaign Manager, Julia works with the League’s members and partners to build public and political support for offshore wind projects critical to New York’s clean energy transition. Prior to joining in 2024, she served as the Environmental Policy Manager for the City of Somerville, Massachusetts, where she developed waste reduction programs, analyzed environmental policies, and collaborated with government officials to advance climate and energy goals.
Previously, Julia spent over five years in nonprofit environmental advocacy, focusing on coalition building, community organizing, and policy analysis. She holds a Master of Science in Environmental Science and Policy, along with a certificate in the Nonprofit Sector, Philanthropy, and Social Change from Northeastern University. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and Natural Resources with a concentration in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation and minors in Resource Economics and Environmental Humanities from the University of Delaware.
