STATEMENT ON THE APPOINTMENT OF LISA GARCIA AS EPA REGION 2 ADMINISTRATOR
Julie Tighe, President of the New York League of Conservation Voters, said:
“Lisa is a longtime fighter for environmental justice, and she will be a fearless leader in Region 2. Her work in the Obama Administration was significant, helping lead the team responsible for the creation and implementation of EJSCREEN, and she’s had experience across academia, the private sector, and as DEC’s Director of Environmental Justice and Indian Affairs. The New York League of Conservation Voters applauds the President for this appointment and we look forward to collaborating with Lisa in her new role.”
