Statement on House Passing the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act

The New York League of Conservation Voters released this statement following the passage of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act in the U.S. House of Representatives:

Julie Tighe, President of the New York League of Conservation Voters, said, “With a coalition including moderates, progressives, and Republicans – including 21 members of the NY delegation, the House passed the bipartisan infrastructure bill. This breakthrough will help repair crumbling infrastructure and creates jobs, while investing in clean energy research, clean school buses, modernizing our grid, and repairing our water infrastructure, among many much needed policies. But there’s still much more work to be done: Congress – starting with New York’s delegation – needs to finish the job to fight climate change and swiftly pass the Build Back Better Act.”
