NYLCV Statement on U.S. Senate budget resolution

The New York League of Conservation Voters released the following statement regarding the U.S. Senate passing a budget resolution for a $3.5 trillion climate infrastructure agenda

Julie Tighe, President of the New York League of Conservation Voters, said, “The U.S. Senate budget resolution clears the way for passing a historic and aggressive Build Back Better climate recovery agenda outlined by President Biden.  Investing $3.5 trillion in clean energy, clean transportation, green jobs, and other programs while prioritizing environmental justice is the action we need now to jumpstart our economy and help avert a future climate crisis.  We thank Senate Majority Leader Schumer for his outstanding leadership. NYLCV will continue to work with Congress to make the final legislation as bold as possible.”
