NYLCV released the following statement:
Julie Tighe, President of the New York League of Conservation Voters, said, “We are sad to hear about the passing of former Assemblyman and former chair of the Assembly’s environmental conservation committee, Richard Brodsky. We have him to thank for New York’s Environmental Protection Fund, the Clean Air Compliance Act, the 1996 Clean Water/Clean Air Bond Act, and the Rebuild and Renew New York Transportation Bond Act. Personally, I had the opportunity to work with him while I was a staffer in the Assembly and private sector, and was always impressed by his intellect, his articulateness and his commitment – and his unique barbeque. All of us at NYLCV extend our condolences to his family and will always remember his dedication to our environment.”
