NYLCV applauds Governor Hochul’s nomination of Denise Sheehan and Uchenna Bright to the Public Service Commission. As New York seeks to achieve its ambitious clean energy goals, we need dedicated and forward thinking leaders serving on the PSC to ensure the state’s Scoping Plan is implemented both swiftly and effectively. Denise, who is a member of NYLCV’s Capital Region Chapter Board, is a first-rate public servant with a long track record of success at the DEC, while Uchenna combines an expert’s lens with an advocate’s passion for the environment. Together they will be welcomed additions to the PSC, and we urge the State Senate to confirm both of these nominees without delay.
