In response to Governor Cuomo’s statement that he does not see climate legislation passing this session, NYLCV released the following response:
Julie Tighe, President of the New York League of Conservation Voters, said, “We are disappointed that Governor Cuomo has not made climate action a priority like the state legislature has. New York can and should pass strong climate legislation this session. With a bill under discussion, a legislative working group, and advocates from across the state, we are poised to take action. If Governor Cuomo sets a priority it will get done and we urge him to recognize the need to act on climate change. There is no time to waste.”
