NYLCV Gives Green Announces 17 New Endorsements Across the State for the 2024 Election

The New York League of Conservation Voters Gives Green is proud to announce their support for 17 additional candidates across the state, bringing their total list of bipartisan endorsements for the 2024 election to 130.

“As we face more and more extreme weather events and prepare for another summer of record-breaking heat, the environment and climate change are poised to be pivotal election issues in 2024,” said NYLCV President Julie Tighe. “We are thrilled to endorse this slate of candidates for elected office and we are confident they will be strong advocates for clean energy, green jobs, and a healthier future, and we urge voters to support them in the upcoming election.”

Last year was a big year for the environment at the ballot box. An overwhelming majority—nearly 90%—of the candidates NYLCV endorsed won in the general election. This year’s primary election saw 95% of the League’s endorsed candidates winning.

NYLCV Gives Green now turns its attention to making sure these candidates — along with previously endorsed candidates like Peter Harckham and Jamaal Bailey for Senate, and Didi Barrett, Nader Sayegh, Matthew Slater for Assembly— are victorious in November.
