NYLCV Announces 15 Endorsements Across the Capital Region

The League throws their support behind candidates for Albany County Executive, Albany County Comptroller, nine candidates for Albany County Legislature, and four candidates for Town Supervisor in municipalities across the region.

The New York League of Conservation Voters Gives Green is excited to announce their next round of endorsements in the Capital Region for the 2023 election cycle. With a total of 15 new endorsements, the League is proud to support candidates who have demonstrated a strong commitment to protecting our environment and promoting smart environmental policies. In addition to candidates for County Executive and County Comptroller, NYLCV is endorsing Town Supervisor candidates in Bethlehem, Guilderland, Knox, and Niskayuna, as well as nine candidates for the County Legislature.

“It is clear that the environment and climate change are moving up the ladder of issues that voters prioritize when choosing their candidate,” said NYLCV President Julie Tighe. “We are thrilled to endorse these outstanding candidates for elected office and are confident that they will be strong advocates for clean energy, green jobs, and a healthier future. We urge voters to support them in their upcoming election.”

Last year was a big year for the environment at the ballot box. A record number of candidates sought NYLCV’s endorsement–indicating that the environment continues to grow in importance for voters–and New Yorkers overwhelmingly, and in bipartisan fashion, approved the Environmental Bond Act. NYLCV looks forward to carrying this momentum into the 2023 election and beyond, and we are proud to endorse the following candidates for elected office:
