The Trump Administration’s reckless Executive Orders targeting renewable energy in New York and across the country is an unconscionable retreat in the climate fight and a betrayal of working class Americans. From the thousands of jobs provided by utility-scale projects to the local contractors that contribute to the clean energy supply chain and work on community and residential installations across the state, renewable energy is the path forward for American workers and American-made energy that cuts air pollution and improves public health. Empire Wind 1, for example, was already in construction to power more than 500,000 homes, reduce reliance on foreign imports, and create over 1,500 jobs. We are proud to stand with Governor Kathy Hochul and Attorney General Letitia James as they fight this illegal federal overreach head on.
