“We are thrilled that Governor Cuomo announced the Green Future Fund as part of his State of the State Budget Address that will include a new $2.5 billion investment in New York’s water and wastewater infrastructure. This doubles the existing $2.5 billion Clean Water Infrastructure Act, which we successfully fought for in 2017. Devoting resources to improving New York’s water and wastewater infrastructure will create good jobs, prevent harmful algal blooms, address emerging contaminants like 1,4 dioxane, PFOA, and PFOS, and ensure that our drinking water is world class.  We commend Governor Cuomo on his leadership and look forward to working with the Governor, other advocates, and our champions in the legislature to make sure the Green Future Fund is included in the enacted budget.”
