Volunteer With League-Endorsed Candidates!

It’s election season and we know that electing candidates with strong environmental credentials is key to fighting climate change and building an environmentally just future.

Pushing for smart environmental policy is important in every level of government. While this year is not a Presidential election, New Yorkers will have the opportunity to cast one of the most consequential votes in their lifetime. If we want our voices to be heard, there are no off years!

With the Clean Water, Clean Air, and Green Jobs Bond Act on the ballot this election (early voting begins October 29 and Election Day is November 8) New York voters have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to improve quality of life, modernize infrastructure, and safeguard clean drinking water. As environmentalists, we need to work together to get out the vote and make sure the Bond Act is passed.

In addition, we need to ensure environmental protection remains a priority in Washington D.C. and Albany. The New York League of Conservation has been working hard to find out which candidates will put the environment first. Now we need your help to elect them. Sign up to volunteer now

Your volunteer hours with NYLCV-endorsed candidates will have a direct impact on whether New York prioritizes clean water, moves from fossil fuels to clean fuels, passes extended producer responsibility laws to increase recycling, and meets the targets set out in the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act.

We are holding virtual volunteer training sessions to teach you the ins and outs of campaign volunteering. We will train you on all the different tasks our endorsed candidates need, whether that’s phone banking, canvassing, tabling, or any number of proven campaign tactics.

Ready to protect the environment? Sign up to volunteer and help NYCLV-endorsed candidates win this November.

The first step of volunteering will be attending one of our volunteer training sessions, which will be held on zoom on the following dates:

  1. Wednesday, October 19 at 5:00 pm, register here.
  2. Thursday, October 27 at 1:00 pm, register here.

You’ll learn first hand from people that have worked on campaigns just what it takes to win an election. People like you can make a huge difference, so get involved! Once you are trained, you’ll be able to help in whatever way you feel most comfortable.
