In an effort to reduce emissions from transportation as well as better the lives of New Yorkers, Transportation Alternatives founded the NYC 25x25 coalition, which NYLCV is a part of. The coalition is urging the City to give back 25% of NYC street space to the people by 2025.

Jobs to Move America released a report which found that switching from diesel buses to electric buses will decrease toxic pollution, reduce the risk of asthma for children riding on the buses, and create good-paying green jobs
