Each year, our Gala brings together elected and public officials, business leaders, environmentalists, and philanthropists from all over the state. Over eight hundred people from across the country join together to support our efforts to fight climate change, conserve land and water, and protect public health across New York. 2024 HONOREE

Each year we honor individuals, organizations, and businesses that have demonstrated anoutstanding commitment to our environment. This year’s honoree is Clean Path New York. Clean Path NY is a nation-leading renewable generation, transmission and energy storage project—one of the largest clean energy infrastructure projects contracted by New York State in the last half century. Clean Path NY is comprised of more than 20 wind and solar generation projects and a new 175-mile, underground transmission line that together will enable the delivery of more than 7.5 million megawatt-hours of emissions-free electricity every year—enough to power more than 1.5 million New York households. Upon completion, Clean Path NY will reduce fossil fuel-fired generation from New York’s electric grid by more than 20% annually and prevent 49 million tons of CO2 emissions by 2040. This historic clean energy investment is expected to generate more than $4 billion of in-state economic development and is estimated to create more than 8,300 good-paying in-state jobs. Clean Path NY is a landmark public-private collaboration between New York Power Authority, Invenergy, and energyRe.
