We are proud to honor Nice Bus/Transdev and Bird Bus Sales & Service for their for their commitment to the environment and long-term sustainability on Long Island. Nice Bus/Transdev has made environmental commitments including using low-emissions buses, using green driving techniques and building a culture in which the environment is part of business decisions. Bird Bus has also been using low-emissions school buses such as its Blue Bird Propane-Powered Vision which runs on propane instead of conventional diesel.
We are also excited to welcome Nassau County Executive Laura Curran as our keynote speaker for the evening. She has made commitments to improving environmental health throughout Nassau County including expanding offshore wind projects, improving water quality, and seeking dedicated funding for public transit.
