Celebrate Environmental Progress on Long Island

Long Island Cocktail Party October 18th

Our Long Island Cocktail Party brings together over 100 elected officials, policymakers, businesses, community groups, and grassroots community members. Don’t miss your opportunity to celebrate the progress we’ve made together for Long Island’s environment – become a sponsor or purchase your tickets here!

We are excited to honor Green Energy Technology and John Comack for their commitment to the environment and long-term sustainability on Long Island. GET is a leader in the electric vehicle charging stations and infrastructure and has recently partnered with Bus and Trucking companies to help develop their fleets. Their work is central to ensuring charging stations are readily available and accessible for people across all of New York.

Our second honoree is Nassau Suffolk Building Trades Council and President Matthew Aracich. NSBCTC is promoting the importance of green building practices, investing in water infrastructure, and supporting renewable energy. They recognize that moving New York toward a clean energy economy will both protect the environment and provide good, union jobs that support our families.

October 18th, 6:00pm – 8:00pm

Our Long Island Chapter tackles environmental issues in Nassau and Suffolk counties, serving on task forces and coalitions, informing citizens, rating elected officials, and recommending candidate endorsements. The chapter works to identify and advocate for solutions to the region’s most pressing environmental issues.

We hope you can join us to celebrate this work, as well as additional wins for the environment that include banning offshore drilling, reducing waste, and passing congestion pricing. Become a sponsor or purchase tickets today!
