William Reinhardt

William Reinhardt is running for re-election as the legislator for Albany County’s 33rd district. Reinhardt’s experience in sustainable energy policy, strategy, and technology developments at the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority spanned 26 years before being elected as the county legislator in 2015. Reinhardt currently chairs the Conservation and Improvement Committee and is a member of the Mass Transit Committee, Public Works Committee, and Social Services Committee. Reinhardt has advocated for bills that reduce single-use plastic, promote energy efficiency, and limit incineration at county facilities. If re-elected, Reinhardt will push the county executives to lead on the Climate Smart Communities program and advocate for developing a clean energy economy in the county and region.
