Warren Lucas

Warren Lucas is running for reelection as Town Supervisor of North Salem. As Town Supervisor, he has taken steps to improve the environment by appointing a Climate Smart Community Coordinator and a supporting team, and thanks to his efforts, last year North Salem achieved a Bronze Certification as a Climate Smart Community. Lucas has also been working to ensure that all new buildings in the town adhere to the NYS Stretch Building code, making them more energy efficient. Additionally, he played a key role in establishing the East of Hudson Watershed Corporation, which aims to reduce phosphorus levels in local lakes and streams, thus minimizing algae and seaweed growth. Lucus’ commitment to the environment extends beyond his role as Town Supervisor, as he serves as Treasurer and liaison to Westchester Power, Sustainable Westchester’s Community Choice Aggregation program, and other energy-saving initiatives in Westchester County. If re-elected, he plans to continue his work towards meeting the new MS4 requirements by removing kilograms of phosphorus loading from the watershed.
