Vivian McKenzie

Vivian McKenzie is running for reelection for Mayor of the City of Peekskill. Since taking office in 2012, McKenzie has been a friend to the environment, implementing policies to increase the number of trees, protect natural resources, help with the purchasing of electric vehicles for the town, and start a food scrap program. She also advocated for the closure of Indian Point, supported the work of the Conservation Advisory Council, and implemented a program with Honeywell to evaluate city properties for energy consumption and make upgrades like removing oil tanks, replacing all windows in city hall, replacing all indoor lights and all street lights with energy-efficient bulbs.
