Siela Bynoe

Siela Bynoe is running for re-election as legislator of Nassau County’s 2nd district. She has collaborated with the Nassau County Industrial Development Agency to establish a program incentivizing businesses to invest in environmental protection and water conservation upgrades. Bynoe spearheaded water conservation and protected the single-source aquifer that provides Nassau County residents with potable water; she advocated for and secured tens of millions of dollars for traffic safety streetscape initiatives that will make County roads safer for pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorists alike. She is also a staunch advocate for diversifying the county’s green energy portfolio, including efficient energy storage plans. If elected, Bynoe aims to advocate for more aggressive action to discourage using single-use paper bags and encourage residents to embrace reusable alternatives.
