Shanae Williams

Shanae Williams is running for Legislator for Westchester County’s 16th District. Serving as a council member for Yonkers City since 2018, Williams has provided funding for a number of green initiatives. These have included funds to purchase a green city fleet and funds to add more charging stations at various locations. She voted for Westchester Power to help save residents funding on their electric bills and reduce the city’s carbon footprint. She also worked to create a leaf blower rebate program encouraging residents to switch from gas powered leaf blowers to electric leaf blowers to reduce pollution. If elected, Williams will work towards investment in wastewater treatment to process organic waste into renewable energy and education for the public about all the resources accessible to be greener in their own lives.
