Rose Walker

Rose Walker is running for re-election as legislator of Nassau County 17th District. Walker has demonstrated a strong commitment to protecting the environment. She has supported preserving open space, advocates for offshore wind projects, and has fought to clean up the Navy Grumman Plume. Her efforts to protect open space have resulted in improved waterways. She continues to ensure the quality of these waterways by working with local water districts to secure funding for contaminant removal. Walker also promotes solar installations and LED lighting in all facilities and traffic lights. If re-elected, Walker will work to increase solar and wind power use.
