Rose Marie Walker
Since joining the legislature in 2009, Walker has helped pass numerous laws to protect the environment. Recently, she supported the Bay Parks Conveyance Project and the expansion of NICE bus funding. Furthermore, she advocated for expanded funding to the Cornell Cooperative Extension, connecting researchers with local farmers. She voted for legislation to require all active parkland and open space owned or operated by Nassau County to be open and accessible to all county residents. If re-elected, Walker will continue advocating for improved water quality and expanded green transportation infrastructure.
