Pat Strong has made significant strides towards improving our environment and hopes to continue doing so while serving New York State Senate District 46. Simultaneously acting as President of Courtney Strong Inc., Co-founder of Alliance of Kingston, contractor for the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), and consultant to the U.S. Department of Energy, Strong demonstrates her commitment to environmental issues, particularly that of energy conservation.
As a contractor for NYSERDA, Strong has been working on the Mid-Hudson Street Light Consortium with the objective of creating more affordable pathways for cities, towns, and villages to convert to LED streetlights. Additionally, Strong is working on the Clean Energy Communities Program where she is a subcontractor to the Capital District Regional Planning Commission. The program aims to spread awareness, educate, and advocate for clean energy initiatives and high-impact actions that NYSERDA has identified, like the adoption of PACE (property-assessed clean energy) financing authorization.
Strong is focused on furthering her environmental agenda and hopes to connect with smaller communities to involve them in the fight for clean energy. If elected, Strong will be a powerful leader in the transition to a clean energy economy.
